Statistics: Russia’s unemployment stays at 4.9% in February
MOSCOW, Mar 20 (PRIME) -- Russia’s unemployment remained flat at 4.9% of the labor force, or 3.7 million people, in February, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday citing preliminary estimates.
The number of unemployed registered with the employment services amounted to 800,000, with the amount of those receiving unemployment benefits standing at 700,000.
The number of economically active people stood at 75.1 million, or 51% of the population.
